Coaching Online Communities Seminar

New World

Pick your reason - far-flung leadership communities, global supply chains, virtual project teams, flattened organizations, rising travel costs, the need to accelerate better decisions, or the false promise of existing technologies - in our New World, improving how we engage people virtually is a necessity.

Social Networking & Online Business Communities

Welcome social networking! The energy source to fuel the next round of productivity improvements. Harnessed in private community wrappers, blended with collaborative decision tools and effective group process, and we have the leap to online business communities, fundamentally altering the way people lead, manage, organize, and get work done.

The New Leap

"The leap from a focus on facilitating intense team efforts to coaching online communities results in minimizing the need to facilitate intense team efforts."

John Carroll, CEO,
Seminar: "The Leap To Online Communities"
Southeast Association of Facilitators (SEAF) Conference
9/20/2007

For 15+ years, we've focused on finding better ways to engage people, face-to-face and virtually. To turn all of the lights on, enable everyone to magnify each other's brilliance, illuminate uncertainty, and act decisively.

A year and a half ago in our seminar, "Canyon Leaping Collaboration: Lessons Learned Facilitating Virtual Teams" at the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) Conference in Baltimore, we taught how to use facilitator toolkits, along with other emerging technologies and static "team space" websites, to facilitate intense team efforts.

This year, at the SEAF Conference, we brought the message of the New Leap - The Leap to Coaching Online Communities where people can organically surface solutions. When need or opportunity arise people can immediately come together as teams, groups, or as a whole and work through structured group processes. The results are significantly improved and accelerated decision making, and better implementation as everyone is up-to-speed and part of the solution.

From static "Team Spaces" to dynamic "Community Places," the message comes with the alert that facilitators, trainers, project managers, and consultants of every variety had better make sure that they and their processes are a part of these online communities, because that is where the people will be.
